How to use this guide

For a chili-free direction, follow the linked soy-sauce gungjung tteokbokki instead of converting red tteokbokki spoon for spoon. A little sweet paprika can add color, but is optional.

What changes and what to check

There is no universal paprika-to-gochujang ratio. Mexican vinegar-based hot sauces add acidity; mild gochujang can still be hot. Check the paprika label for added chili.
